Protest Against Rape Crimes in Front of the Government's Building in Tunisia

The Association of Tunisian Women for Research and Development (AFTURD), together with 30 civil society organizations, organized a protest on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, in front of the government's building to protest against the frequent rape crimes against women and girls in Tunisia and to demand the government and concerned authorities to take the required measures to eliminate violence against women and girls. This vigil came in the frame of a wide awareness campaign against rape crimes due to the recurrence of these heinous crimes against women and girls in Tunisia.

These organisation took the opportunity to send an open letter to the Tunisian government and official authorities where they demanded to put an end to the brutal rape crimes. Click here to read the open letter.
