The Syrian Feminist Lobby (SFL) held its annual planning meeting to discuss the Lobby’s 2016 Action Plan. The first day started with a general analysis of the current political scenario; the SFL emphasized their opposition to the current Syrian regime and that the role of the UN Women Advisory Committee remains limited in its attempts to voice for Syrian women’s rights and gender equality on all legal, political and economic levels.
Syrian Feminist Lobby
Euromed Feminist Initiative IFE-EFI organized a lobby trip to EU and French Institutions for a delegation from the Syrian Feminist Lobby. The purpose of the trip, which took place from 22 to 25 November 2016, was to visit political institutions and discuss women’s political participation.
Six members from the Syrian Feminist Lobby visited the French National Assembly, Paris City Hall, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the EU Parliament in Strasbourg.
