In the framework of the SIDA-funded programme « Supporting political transition in Syria through gender-sensitive social reconstruction » and in preparation of the Brussels Conference : « Supporting the future of Syria and the region » (9-10 May 2022), EuroMed Feminist Initiative and the Syrian Gender Advocacy Group (GAG) organised a side event followed by a GAG meeting (5-6 May 2022).

Building on the outcomes of the first meeting held in Amman in August 2021, the Regional Observatory on Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) hosted by the EuroMed Feminist Initiative (EFI), held its second expert group meeting in Paris, France on September 29, and September 30. The Expert Group discussed the Regional Index’s framework and the application of composite indicators method, as well as the mechanism of work for developing the 2021 VAWG Index.
