The panel event, "Education as a Tool of Democracy and Peacebuilding in Syria," held on May 6, 2024, brought together experts, activists, and stakeholders to discuss the critical role of education in fostering democracy, promoting peace, and combating exclusion and violence in Syria. Organized by EuroMed Feminist Initiative in collaboration with Duderi Organisation, the event aimed to spotlight the findings and recommendations of the study on Dynamics of Exclusion and Violence in Education and Their Effect on Peacebuilding in Syria conducted by Duderi in 2023.
The panelists explored strategies for incorporating values of diversity, inclusion, and equality into the educational system of Syria, highlighting the complexities within the system and its impact on peacebuilding efforts.
