The second Project Steering Committee meeting for the initiative ''Strengthening the Role of Feminist CSOs Working in the Implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda (WPSA) in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine'' convened on June 25-26, 2024, in Amman, Jordan. This significant gathering brought together senior representatives from the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), the EuroMed Feminist Initiative (EFI), and consortium members to evaluate the project's progress, discuss prevailing challenges, and strategize future actions. The project, funded by AFD and the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, aims to bolster the influence and effectiveness of feminist civil society organizations (CSOs) in promoting the WPSA across these four countries.

The meeting commenced with a welcome session, featuring Ms. Salam Nawafleh, Project Coordinator from EFI, and Mr. Frederic Turlin, Middle East Regional Officer for Gender, Environment and Social Impacts from AFD. Their introductory remarks set the stage for productive discussions and collaborative efforts over the two-day event.
