Building on the success of the 2022-2023 schools, a third edition of the Feminist School was implemented in Lebanon from the 1^st to the 6^th of October 2023  with the aim of reaching more young Syrian activists from all geographical areas of Syria. Two levels (beginners and advanced) has been envisioned by the trainers to cater to different levels of knowledge and expertise.

The beginners’ school built the foundations of knowledge on gender equality for young Syrian activists, while the advanced school offered the possibility to a group of the most active students from the beginners’ school to deepen their knowledge on the selected topics. The Feminist School was attended by 46 participants from all Syrian governorates. 

The school curriculum focused on exploring the theoretical concepts of feminism and women’s rights (The four waves of feminism, feminism in Syria, Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), including during conflicts, Gender Analysis, International Law, and International Women Rights Instruments and how to apply them in the Syrian context). 

The Feminist School took place in the frame of a program funded by the Swedish International Development Agency.
