The United Nations Security Council resolution 1325 in Relation to Women's Political Participation

In the frame of the project “Enhancing women´s participation in decision making and peace building processes in Syria”, EuroMed Feminist Initiative has supported consultations with women´s rights activists and civil society organizations to develop a Common Agenda to Combat Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG) in Syria.

 

The consultation process brought together 145 activists, representatives from women´s rights civil society, researchers and gender experts who analyzed challenges, recommended priorities, and established a Common Agenda to Combat VAWG as one of the main barriers for women to participate at all level of decision making.
