EuroMed Feminist Initiative (EFI) conducted a four-day training program from October 20th to 23rd in Beirut, focused on "Gender Sensitive Legislations.” The training delved into subjects such as Women's Political Participation and Personal Status Laws, elucidating their significance and implications. It underscored the importance of outputs and evaluation as crucial instruments for gauging progress and success. Through a specific focus on multiple legislative codes, including Labor, Penal, and Laws on Elimination of Violence Against Women, it equipped participants with a profound understanding to promote the development of more inclusive, equitable, and gender-sensitive laws. This training program served as a comprehensive resource for nurturing legislative transformation and advancing gender equality. The training observed the engaged participation of 25 attendees, each hailing from different geographical regions within Syria. This dynamic mix of participants fostered a strong and varied exchange of perspectives. This training took place in the frame of a program funded by the Swedish International Development Agency.
