Workshop on "Alternative legislation to support advocacy for a specific and comprehensive law to combat violence against Women and Girls"

Between the 1st and the 3rd of April 2023, and in partnership with Syrian women’s rights activists and lawyers, EuroMed Feminist Initiative organised a three-day workshop on alternative legislation to support advocacy for a specific and comprehensive law to combat violence against women and girls.

 

This event, which gathered more than 20 Syrian lawyers and legal experts, explored discriminatory articles in the Syrian penal code while discussing alternative gender sensitive legislations. This workshop took place in the frame of a program funded by the Swedish International Development Agency.
