Scoring Workshop on the 2024 Regional Index on Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) – Kurdistan Region of Iraq

On 30th April 2025, experts and practitioners from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq met in Erbil to score the 2024 Regional Index on Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). The workshop was organised under the patronage of the High Council for Women and Development – Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), in partnership with the General Directorate of Combating Violence Against Women (DCVAW) of the Ministry of Interior of KRG. It was held within the framework of the project “Combating VAWG in Iraq – Enhancing Cross-Sector Cooperation,” as part of the programme “Strengthening Participation, Peaceful Coexistence, and Equality in Iraq (SPACE)”, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and supported by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
