Terms of Reference Internship - Paris Headquarters

 

Background:

EuroMed Feminist Initiative (EFI) is a policy platform that provides expertise in the field of equality
between women and men and advocates for women’s human rights as inseparable from democracy
building and citizenship, for political solutions to all conflicts, and for the right of peoples to self-
determination.

 

Objectives of the internship:

The internship aims to provide an opportunity for a motivated individual to gain practical experience
in project management within a feminist organization. The intern will support the Project Manager in
planning, executing, and monitoring different projects.


Duration

The internship is a full-time position for a period of three months, between the 1 st of September 2024
and the 31 st of December 2024, with the possibility of extension based on performance and
organizational needs.


Location

The internship will be based at EFI’s headquarters in Paris , with possible travel to project sites as
needed.


Duties and Responsibilities
Project Implementation

  • Support the coordination of project activities and their completion on schedule.
  • Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and events related to ongoing projects.


Communication and Documentation

  • repare project documentation, including reports, case studies, and presentations.
  • Assist in maintaining project files and ensuring proper documentation of all activities.

Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support to the Project Manager and project team as needed.

Qualifications and Skills


Educational Background: Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a Bachelor’s or Master’s
program in International Relations, Gender Studies, Development Studies, Project Management, or a
related field.

 

Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French. Knowledge of other languages, particularly Arabic, is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Experience

  • Previous experience in working with projects, research, or administration is desirable.
  • Demonstrated interest in gender equality, women’s rights, and feminist activism.
